A Community of friendship called
Club History
The Girlfriend Recovery Club™ was conceived by two childhood friends, Marguerite Schmidt (Chapel Hill, NC) and Cora DeLoia (Pittsburgh, PA) when another girlfriend of 40+ years, Kimberly Ottaviani (Hollywood, FL) was struck with ovarian cancer.
They wanted to support their friend anyway they could through phone calls, emails, gifts and prayers. They soon recognized the importance and power of friendship to aid the healing process and speed up recovery.
The Girlfriend Recovery Club™ was born.
Within this web-based community of support, girlfriends find a place, a home in which to gather, share and put into action their love and concern.
